A long time ago, the late 70's in fact, I was introduced to that magical galaxy far, far away. From the moment this small child saw that first movie, he was hooked. Star Wars is one of my earliest memories, and was with me throughout my childhood. It captured my imagination and taught me so many wonderful life lessons.
As I have grown older, my love for Star Wars has grown, and now it is something I share with my children, students, and other younglings in my life. I have the opportunity to share this wonderful galaxy with them and the lessons I learned from Han, Luke, Vader, and even R2, plus so many others. I have carried these lessons with me throughout my life, I have shared them with my children, and now, I hope to share them with you.
Star Wars reaches across the different generations, and give us a "common language and story" to share as we talk about life. As we embark on a trip to that galaxy far, far away, I hope we will rediscover the richness of these stories and what we loved about these movies. May the force be with us.
